Woven Quilts

My woven and quilted technique developed from the search for a satisfying combination of process and product. I tear or cut the cloth into narrow strips, weave those strips in a pattern, and quilt to create a new fabric, which serves as a foundation for embellishment.

Exploration of the process led to the publication of two books in the mid-1990s.
